PPC Section 337-H

PPC Section 337-H:  Punishment for hurt by rash or negligent act:

(1) Whoever causes hurt by rash or negligent act, other than rash or negligent driving, shall be liable to arsh or daman specified for the kind of hurt caused and may also be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years as ta'zir.
 
(2) Whoever does any act so rashly or negligently as to endanger human life or the personal safety of other, shall be punished with imprisonment of either-description for a term which may extend to three months, or with fine, or with both.

Offence Cognizance Summons/-Warrant Bailable/-NotBailable Punishment Triable By
Hurt by rash or negligent act. May arrest without warrant. Warrant .. Bailable.. Arsh, or daman, and imprisonment of either description for three years. Magistrate of the first class.
A rash or negligent act to endanger human life or personal safety of others. Shall not arrest without warrant Summons Ditto Imprisonment of either description for three months, or with fine,or with both. Magistrate of the first or second class.
Offence: Bailable.. --- Hurt by rash or negligent act.
Punishment--- Arsh, or daman, and imprisonment of either description for three years.
Accused ★ POLICE Police Officer
Offence: Ditto --- A rash or negligent act to endanger human life or personal safety of others.
Punishment--- Imprisonment of either description for three months, or with fine,or with both.
Accused ★ POLICE Police Officer
