Section 110: Punishment of Abetment if Person Abetted Does Act with Different Intention from that of Abettor

Whoever abets the commission of an offence shall, if the person abetted does the act with a different intention or knowledge from that of the abettor, be punished with the punishment provided for the offence which would have been committed if the act had been done with intention or knowledge of the abettor and with no other.

Abetment of any offence, if the person abetted does the act with a different intention from that of the abettor. May arrest without warrant if arrest for the offence abetted may be made without warrant, but not otherwise. According as a warrant or summons may issue for the offence abetted. According as the offence abetted is bailable or not. According as the offence abetted is compounable or not The same punishment as for the offence abetted. The Court by which the offence abetted is triable.
