Your question is not specific becz you don't discuss the rent agreement. But forcefully landlord don't eject the tenant. If you aggrieved you may seek the remedy as per Rent Laws against your landlord

If your rent agreement's validity is pending, then mere higher rent from other person is not reason to evacuate you from the premises unless you have violated any terms of the rent agreement, or any illegal activity or your rent agreement has an ended, if this is the case do not stop sending the rent, if the owner is not accepting the rent send it through bank account or registered post or money order, keep all the copies record of the documents. and try to talk to the owner in a calm and good way, sometimes negotiation works.
