That I am a practicing Muslim and follow Fiqah-e-Hanafia.
That in accordance with the judgment passed by the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan dated March 9, 1999, I am not liable to have Zakat deducted from the following categories of financial holdings:
Bank Savings Accounts
Special Savings Certificates
Defence Savings Certificates
Bank Fixed Term Deposits
That this declaration is made under the applicable provisions of the Zakat & Ushr Ordinance, 1980 and the Zakat & Ushr (Deduction & Refund) Rules, 1981, in order to claim exemption from automatic deduction of Zakat at source.
That the contents of this declaration are accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge and belief, and nothing has been concealed.
