PETITION UNDER SECTION 372 OF THE SUCCESSION ACT, 1925

FOR GRANT OF SUCCESSION CERTIFICATE

RESPECTFULLY SHEWETH:

1. Name of the deceased and date of death:

2. Residence of the deceased at the time of death:
       At the time of his death, the deceased was residing at [Address]. He also left behind property/assets within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court.

3. Family or other near relatives of the deceased and their respective residences:
       All Petitioners mentioned above are the legal heirs of the deceased.

4. Right in which the Petitioners claim:
       The Petitioners are the legal heirs of the deceased and are thus entitled to his estate.

5. Absence of impediments under the law:
       There exists no impediment under Section 370 of the Succession Act, 1925, or under any other provision of law, to the grant of a Succession Certificate in favour of the Petitioners.

6. Debts and securities in respect of which the certificate is applied for:
       The Petitioners seek the issuance of a Succession Certificate in respect of the following:

   • Bank Accounts held with various branches.

   • Investment Units/Certificates purchased from investment institutions.

   • A complete list of such debts and securities shall be submitted before the Honourable Court in a separate schedule.

PRAYER

In view of the foregoing, it is most respectfully prayed that this Honourable Court may graciously be pleased to:

a) Issue a Succession Certificate to the Petitioners in respect of the debts and securities of the deceased as listed in the annexed schedule; and
